C&B Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a well-established and respected independent garage.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to join a busy and thriving workshop that takes pride in delivering excellent workmanship and customer service. We are looking for a technician who is confident in diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and delivering high standards of mechanical work across a wide range of vehicles.
Vehicle Technician Role and Responsibilities:
- Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of makes and models.
- Carry out vehicle diagnostics using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Complete MOT preparation and repairs as required.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and in line with manufacturer guidelines.
- Accurately complete job cards and update vehicle service records.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Provide technical support to colleagues and contribute to a positive workshop culture.
- Liaise with service advisors and customers where necessary to explain faults and repairs.
Vehicle Technician Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Motor Mechanic, or Automotive Technician – essential.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair) – essential.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
- Experience working in an independent garage or fast-fit environment is preferred but not essential.
- A positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Full UK Driving Licence – essential.
